I'm dodging bullets in the dark, a sitting duck outside the park
Diving to find shelter under some imaginary arc
This film is such a drag but I'm invested in the part
If you can’t tell me when to stop, why won’t you tell me when to start?
I think of all the the time I spent on cheap champagne and discontent
Show me something shooting straight and I'll tell you that it's bent
I try to move my feet but I'm sinking in cement
If this is not a sin, at least allow me to repent.
Night and day I try and tame unwanted thoughts, my guilt and shame
I used to hold the arrow, now I don't remember how to aim
I'm dodging bullets in my dream but this is not a game
I wish someone would tell me how to pose inside this lonely frame.
